Originally sold only high-end DSLR camera has always been the body without a lens, as most buyers are experienced users already have the lenses. To keep it simple, this means that there is a mechanism in the lens itself which will counteract the shake of the human body so as to reduce blur in your pictures. The only negatives I have with this lens are that it does feel cheap and light and no doubt will not last years and years of constants use. It also doesn't have a manual focus ring on the lens rather you just turn the end of the barrel to focus manually. This can be quite annoying as it feels like they forgot to add what would be a very easy feature.
