When I bought my first Canon digital camera, I spent as much time thinking to make lens choice like me on whether or not to buy the Canon or Nikon. Believe me, there are many, many lenses, to choose from. The fact is the focal length of the lens, although can be added to a single Zoom lens, no universal lens focal length focal length equivalent prime lens never its full range of levels.
Here is my choice of lens. If you have enough money, get a few shots, covering a wide range of shooting possibilities. You will need a wide angle lens landscape, such as portraits and street scenes, a medium range lens, and a telephoto lens to capture distant objects. Oh, you may want a dedicated macro lens, capturing those delicate flowers and butterflies.
Once again, if money is no object, must be Canon "l" lenses. They are the Cadillac of Canon lenses. "L" lenses have the best glass and technology provided by Canon.
However, if your budget, you will want to consider covering a lot of shooting in case of a lens. There are several great choices, an ordinary "walking" lenses, not all from Canon.
Here is lens selection great walk a short list:
Tamron AF 28-75mm f2.8 XR Di Zoom this is a great lens if you plan to take lots of family photos. The zoom range is somewhat limited, but the image quality is very good. You on a length of 75 mm lens 55 mm tool group than you do a little more, although it's somewhat lacking on, rather than the 18 mm kit lens 28 mm wide end. You also get f/2.8 means Super fast shutter speeds under normal conditions and better image under low light conditions, allowing more light hitting the sensor of the camera. FredMiranda.com user rating this lens is very up to 8.5 10-brand lenses (Fred Miranda users tend to brand snobbery).
Tamron AF18-250mm F/3.5-6.3 Di-II LD Aspherical (IF) Macro this is a fantastic option if you're going to buy only one lens. 18 mm wide angle is very good for landscapes and 250 mm telephoto to get up near your right almost anything. There is no need to switch lenses and missed the photo opportunity. FredMiranda.com users evaluate it 8.3 out of 10 is pretty good kitchen shot. It is available for both Canon and Nikon DSLR cameras.
28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 image stabilized Canon EF USM autofocus lens-Canon has been pushing the lens as the kit lens on the viewing window. It is walking a good lens, and really high-quality images and a large zoom range (5 x). The AF speed is very fast, and IS (image stabilization) is noted, especially in low light situations, when a slow shutter speed to compensate for the light. You can in most cases, you don't have a tripod because.
If you are buying your first DSLR, consider becomes the just body and replace it with one of these lens kit lenses. All of these lenses less than $ 500, which in a good quality camera lens is quite attractive in the world. Your new SLR purchased the great walk around lens is an important step.
